Rhythmic Energy is a fusion brass band that was formed in 2006 with a belief in the transformative power of music to heal, inspire, and unite. From our humble beginnings as a spirited college band to becoming one of India’s premier fusion brass ensembles, we’ve evolved over two decades, leaving a lasting impact wherever we perform.
Guided by the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi - one of India’s most revered spiritual leaders and philanthropists, our motto is simple: to spread love and joy through music. His teachings influence every practice, every performance, and every note we play, ensuring that our journey is rooted in discipline, dedication, and a shared vision of creating unforgettable moments that resonate long after the music fades.
We are privileged to have trained under the guidance of world-renowned musicians like Maynard Ferguson, Dr. Paul Erhard, Harry Geurts, and Uma Devi, whose mentorship has shaped our sound and enriched our growth. Our diverse repertoire spans genres from pop rock and blues to Indian traditional, movie numbers, classical, and fusion.
Thoughtfully curated to create a vibe for every audience, our ensemble and music brings together the best of Indian and global musical flavours, combining the bold and powerful sounds of brass, captivating traditional Indian instruments, vocals and amplifying them with a wide range of percussion instruments offering a unique and immersive experience. Be it the grand marches of John Philip Sousa to the captivating signature pieces of Yanni, our repertoire is a blend of timeless classics and contemporary masterpieces, carefully curated to create a vibe for every audience.
Over the years, our performances have transcended the stage, bringing joy and connection to communities we have collaborated with. While we’ve had the joy of entertaining and dancing with underprivileged children at schools and orphanages, comforting the elderly at old age homes, and uplifting spirits of those in need, we've also had the opportunity to thank our nation's war heroes, celebrate milestones with different communities and perform at music fests. Each performance is an opportunity to touch lives, spread happiness, and remind the world of music’s incredible ability to bring people together.
Though we’ve been on this journey for nearly two decades, it feels as though we’ve only just begun. What do you do for a living?
By day, most of us are working professionals—engineers, doctors, teachers, and freelancers—dedicated to our paying careers. But come the weekends, we unite through our shared passion for music, practicing and performing together. Music is our creative outlet, and we’re committed to spread love and joy wherever we go.
Do you charge money to perform?
We do not charge for performances when playing for charitable organizations or causes, as our primary goal is to spread love and joy through music. However, to sustain the band and cover essential expenses, we rely on contributions from our members.
Do you teach music also?
While we don't currently offer formal music training, our live shows are highly interactive and often ignite a spark in the audience to explore music themselves!
